Oh dear, one of our chickens is egg bound. Given her her warm water soak in the sink, the vaseline finger (you can use your imagination here) now she's in the chicken steamer (ok its the old cat cage with a roasting tin of hot water underneath!).

Fingers crossed for the next day or so, either she passes the egg or it's .............

At last I think I have a recording of 'Witches Brew' that I can live with. It seems to take me a good ten hour day to get a track done, probably 30 minutes of laying down various takes and then an infinity of fiddling, drop-ins, re-writes and whining 'I just can't play the guitar :o(  .

I wish I was one of those people who can do one take and go home.

Anyway, on to the next track tomorrow. Who would think that having fun could be so much work.

Milkins
Mr. Milkins gave me a scare, disappearing for 3 days and nights. He's 12 or 14years old now, fairly cronked, can't jump or climb, fairly deaf and quite wobbly. I posted leaflets in all the local houses and put up posters and got several calls until one came in from a guy who found Milkins a few streets away and stayed with him till I got there. He'd had a fight with a dog and was scared and lost but back home now. Thanks to all those who checked there sheds and gardens, those who called and those who kindly allowed us to rummage through their cabbage patches.
